So I have found the most awesome thing this year. I was in my local Barnes and Noble store looking for a calendar and came across this calculus book, but upon closer inspection it turns out to manga and not only that a book from a series. It is a Manga book series that teaches you Calculus, Statistics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and my more. I am absolutely in love and drooling. The name of this most marvelous series you ask The Manga Guide to...
The one I found was The Manga Guide to Calculus along with The Manga Guide to Statistics. I also found the whole series on Amazon.com for a cheaper price than Barnes and Noble in Stores. Also on Amazon they consider it a textbook and is part of the Buy Back program so you can get some of you money back. If you go to the publishers website, Nostarch press, they offer you a free ebook with purchase, so there are a lot of options. I like the series because it integrates learning with a story plot. So instead of just strait learning formulas and equations it gives you context to apply them along with a more basic understanding to what they actually do more like applies calculus. For me that was the nicest feature due to I suck at applying equations to the proper situations. Plus it also adds in my love of Manga and graphic novels. I am in love. Unfortunately my math skills are so rusted I have to go back to pre-calculus to refresh my skills. I am very sad and down about that. I am looking into books that would help with that. If you have any suggestions let me know.
